S.W.15 IN YOUR REPLY PLEASE REFER TO TECHNICAL DEP'T AND QUOTE REFERENCE CMC/MEN. 28th April, 1933. H.E. West, Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Derby. Dear Mr. West, Since my visit to Derby on Wednesday, the 19th instant, we have gone very closely into the screen question again and I am glad to tell you that we have now been able to alter the shape of the pressed container for the insulation so as to give a clearance of over one-eighth of an inch everywhere in the sketch which you kindly gave me. We have got the first samples of this very nearly made and I hope to send it to you for your criticism some time next week. While talking to Mr. Robotham about 14 m.m. plugs for the car, he told me that our No. 734 was not standing quite enough heat. I have, therefore, made up fourteen of a new model, which is No. 765, and have sent these direct to Mr. Robotham for test. I do not know whether they should be sent through you, but, as I promised to send them to him, I have done so and am just writing this so that you should be aware of their existence. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, C. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Carington | ||
