contd :- -6- With regard to the engine running backwards - and sometimes continuing several cycles - it is probable that when so doing it obtains its charge from the exhaust system which has been expelled there before the engine speed fell sufficiently low to start self igniting. Having obtained the above insight into the cause of the trouble, we are endeavouring to determine which factor, or factors, explain the difference between the Phantom and Silver Ghost.
