-2- HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}14/KW.10.5.35. We are most interested in the results you have obtained by increasing the damping with regard to road holding with the thick leaf springs. What puzzles us, however, is that you could not get the same effect by using the hand control. If you say that the same effect cannot be obtained by using the hydraulic pressure on the valve, then there is something fundamentally wrong with the scheme. We have despatched the axle and a new spring driven centre for your clutch, also the brake drum; We are following on with a straight through downtake pipe for your exhaust system. I hope to come out and try the car on Tuesday week, the 21st inst., and I shall be glad if you would write about Wednesday and let me know that the car will be running then.
