Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 29th April, reference as above, and copy of drawing EX.27423, which have had our close consideration.

The nearest standard parts which agree fairly closely with the cage and rollers shown on your drawing would be the cage and rollers of our R.120 bearing, and we are sending a copy of drawing No. 27-3218 giving the dimensions required for this. We very much hope that you will be able to make your parts to suit.

The clearance between the ends of the rollers and the guiding shoulders should be kept as small as practicable, without binding.

Might we mention that the tracks must of course be correctly hardened and accurately ground.

We assume you are satisfied that the bearing will be suitable for dealing with the duty involved, but we will gladly check this over if you will let us know the load and speed involved.

We do not propose to supply the parts until we hear from you.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times, we remain,

Yours faithfully,
THE HOFFMANN MANUFACTURING COMPANY LIMITED.

ENC. DRG. 27-3218.
