Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby.........Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Showrooms Sr is absent EWPIS/MLG.31.12.36 Re- Pattinson In the absence of "Sr" (who is in the South of France) I called on Dr. Galop as requested by you and explained the situation. Dr. Galop perfectly understands that for various reasons it would be preferable for Pattinson to carry on treatment of his arm in England and he states that he considers that a Doctor such as Dr. Pratt can carry on with the treatment of the arm. He informed me it is his opinion that a radiograph should be taken as soon as possible to find out the condition of the bone, if the bone shows signs of joining together he would then merely remove the metal plate and leave the bone to continue its growth. If, on the other hand, the bone still showes signs of not joining together he would then remove the plate and at the same time make a bone graft. He is not at all surprised at the length of time that the bone making is taking as it often happens that it is an extremely slow job, and as Pattinson nature shows he is a very slow healer; Galop is extremely interested and would very much like to be kept informed as to progress made. He has addressed a letter to Dr. Sherwood which we enclose and would be glad if you would hand it on and at the same time we enclose a translation into English of this letter in case it should be of help. We sincerely hope that the result of the radio examination will be good. "EWP{Mr Punt}" | ||
