Rmd/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 27th August, 1938. J.S. Inskip, Esq., 10 East 57th Street, NEW YORK. U.S.A. Dear Inskip, Very glad to hear from you again. Since Hives took over we have been very busy re-organising the car side of the Company. As is general in cases of re-organisation, it takes some time before any results can be shown. However, in 12 months' time I feel that we may have something to show for our efforts. As I explained to Adkins we have had to look after the home market first, and, therefore, have not been able to do as much for the American organisation as we could have wished. I hoped that you would have been able to get over to England before now as I should have liked to have had the opportunity of re-paying some of the innumerable kindnesses which were extended to me whilst I was in America. However, Adkins told me that you would be coming before long. Dr. Llewelyn Smith will be in New York in two or three weeks. He worked with me for a long time in the Experimental Dept., and I shall be very grateful for anything you can do for him. Yours sincerely, | ||
