Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}3/E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 8.11.34.

We have not yet received this car from the Coachbuilders. We understand that you are to see it on Tuesday next to comment on the front wing appearance.

When the car reaches the Works we anticipate that it will be at least 5 or 6 weeks before it is ready to go to France. It will be fitted with a completely new design of clutch which we have never previously tried, it will also have to be fitted with the new design of Bumper Bar, the drawings for which have yet to be completed.

The lead bronze big end bearings, which we consider perhaps to be the most urgent job on the Bentley, will have been tested on the 20/25, 21-G-IV.
