MERLIN "E" ENGINE - CONTINUED

Mod. to stand pipe mounting - Starter gear - to retain oil in wheelcase. Completed.
Priming and volute drain connections - to suit R.{Sir Henry Royce} type induction pipe. Completed 8.2.36.
Modified oil pipe connection for V.P. airscrew to suit "R" type induction pipe. Completed 6.2.36.
Mods. to low pressure oil pipes - rear end. Completed 6.2.36.
Cylinder head, cylinder, side water pipe - modified water flow, used with "R" type cylinder head for exhaust plug cooling. Completed 6.2.36.
Mod. to front reduction gear casing - removal of top cowling lugs. Completed 13.2.36.
Mounting of chain sprocket to hand starter shaft - Hawker installation. Completer 13.2.36.
Mod. to supercharger casing - increased number of bolts. Completed 13.2.36.
Mod. to inlet and exhaust valve heads to overcome stretching. In hand.
Inlet sparking plug connection - K.L.G. type. In hand.

MERLIN "E" - FUTURE DEVELOPMENT.

Increased capacity oil pumps. Completed.
Modified cylinder block with end to end coolant flow. In hand.
Application of Farman two speed supercharger drive. In hand.
Mounting and drive for ignition dynamo - for battery ignition. Completed 13.2.36.
