For the attention of Mr. C.H.Smith.

Dear Sir,

We thank you for your letter reference CHS/AMB. dated 19th. August.

Referring also to your letter ref. WAH/FMC. dated 31st. August, we note that in the case of LS. 13 1/2, delivery would be 24/26 weeks after placing an order.

Also re XLS.5. delivery to commence after the same period, but at the rate of 50 per week.

We are very anxious to incorporate both the above bearings in a new project of Al. priority, but fear that 6 months for any delivery would upset our production programme.

Although this programme has not been definitely fixed, we would like to know, as soon as possible :-

1. How many bearings you could supply immediately from stock, even in a very small quantity.
2. The very best you could do on weekly supplies, say in small quantities, in order to cut down your suggested delivery date to the minimum period.

We would be obliged if you would give this matter your further consideration.

Yours faithfully,
