Williamson says that on his Lanchester, on which he has a Lucas Lighting Set, he has had fitted two belts because the one belt was always slipping, and as a consequence of the division of labour he has never to take up the belts more than once in a thousand miles.

On the other hand - on his Rolls-Royce C.A.V. - he has to take up the belt once every 100 miles.
