For the attention of Mr. C. Ward.

Dear Mr. Ward,

I wrote you yesterday saying that we had not received the seat fittings from Chapmans. Today, I am writing to say that they have just arrived.

We have got Mr. Breeden's Bentley in the Garage, I think that this was the last Bentley V.{VIENNA} you turned out, and he is complaining among other things of the bad state of the polish on the interior woodwork. I feel sure that if you saw it, you would agree that he is justified.

It is cracking and flaking very badly. I noticed a similar trouble on one of the Bentley V.{VIENNA} demonstration cars. It appears to me that the lacquer that has been used is not quite what it should be. I should say that it might possibly be O.K. on metal, but that it has not got sufficient plasticiser in it to allow it to move with the timber.

However, this is only my opinion, you may think differently, but I thought it was a point that you would like to look into as it is bound to give rise to a lot of complaints.

Regarding the Myth parts which we collected from your works, everyone seems to be very pleased with the work that you have done.

Kind regards.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD.,
