Quotation for chassis valve forgings from Belgrave Eng. Co. and requesting a cost analysis.

Swindell}4/AP.10.1.38 CHASSIS VALVES Samples of valve forgings have been submitted to us by the Belgrave Eng. Co. of Birmingham. The forging is very close to finished detail dimensions, the valve head to within .050 and the stems to with .010. They have given us a quotation for valves in this condition and we should like to know what the labour cost would be to finish these valves in accordance with our customary practice. The numbers of the valves in which we are interested are E.61299 and EW.1429. As the decision upon whether we give these valves a trial or not rests upon the total cost, we should like to have your figures as soon as possible in order that we may inform the Belgrave Eng.Co. of our intentions.
