February 27th 1933.

Messrs J.W. Roberts Ltd,
Armley,
Leeds.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 24th inst. ref. NLD/MMB.

We note that you have arranged with Messrs Park Ward & Co. to deal with the body they are building, and also that you would like to treat another body for us. With regard to this second car, we have at present one running about which suffers from booms, but it will not be available for about three weeks to a month. As soon as we can manage it, however, we will arrange for this body to be sent up to you so that it can be treated. It will be particularly interesting in that we already have an idea of the characteristics of the body.

We should like to know how long you think you would require the shell of the body to carry out spraying. Naturally in order to test various thicknesses of asbestos, special series of tests will have to be made, and later on we hope to co-operate with you on the subject, but for the time being we have not sufficient cars at our disposal to allot one for this purpose.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
