X7060 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E.13/HP. 30th April 1934. Major F.B. Halford., 8 and 9 Golden Square, LONDON.w.1. Dear Major Halford, Many thanks for yours of the 24th inst. together with drawings of Napier valve lift parts. We are going over the rigidity of the Phantom valve mechanism and we are also making new cam and valve springs of revised proportions. Please find enclosed, in accordance with your request, a blueprint of the Phantom II valve rocker that you saw on the occasion of your last visit - EX.12871. We shall in due course try a larger diameter ram in conjunction with a lighter valve spring and the other modifications proposed, and hope for better result at low speeds. Yours sincerely, From A.G.ELLIOTT. | ||
