X 4333. EFC. BY5/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 3.10.24. 20 HP. CHASSIS. G.H.21. We recently had a dynamo returned to us in connection with the above chassis. The complaint in regard to the first dynamo has been dealt with. I mention this to prevent confusion. The dynamo which replaced the original one has now itself started to give trouble, the dynamo number being 988. The report in regard to the trouble experienced is that it cuts out entirely at high speeds, but re-commences charging when the speed is dropped. At normal speeds it works quite correctly. It would therefore appear that there is some trouble in connection with the brushes and the commutator. Apparently a commutator which caused the control brush to bounce either from the fact that the commutator was eccentric or the bars not quite level, would account for the trouble in question.
