Messrs. AC-Sphinx Sparking Plug Co.Ltd.,
Dunstable,
Beds.

For the attention of Mr. Benion Brown.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the push rod operated T type fuel pumps which you have supplied to us, we find the position of the actuating lever varies from .015" to .050" below the face attaching the pump to the crankcase. The drawing of the pump you sent us gave the dimension as .031" and the crankcase and push rod have been designed to suit this.

Anything in excess of .031" means loss of stroke on the diaphragm.

We should like to know to what limits you work on this dimension and whether they are checked.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
