X.3614. To RHO from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/STT C. to Ck.{Mr Clark} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/STT1/EF22.12.19. re Hawk Northcliffe Radiator Support - Sec 500 - X 3617. We send you herewith two Blue Prints of N. Scheme 211 shewing modification to a previous scheme of ours N. Scheme 59. We find that it is impossible to use the Radiator Cross Member Stiffener under the Supporting Sphere on the underframe side. In Scheme 1 on the attached drawing we shew this Stiffener removed and the Nuts locked up by means of a locking Plate, should there prove to be insufficient clearance for the Lock Nuts these two Bolts would be dispensed with, and the two long Bolts passing between the halves of the Cross Member and nutted up on to the plate underneath as is also shewn on the scheme.
