X4383 To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. c. to W. c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Ey. EFC1/T5.10.22. X.4383 - GOSHAWK II DYNAMO & ARMATURE WINDING. We are now forwarding you under separate cover model armature winding with wooden core. The winding has the reduced length of end connections as suggested by the Winding Dept., the reduction at each end amounting to about .2". It appears that on the new 40/50 generator which we are designing, advantage can be taken of this reduction in length of end connections to secure a rather larger output on the machine than would otherwise be obtained.
