With reference to your letter of the 27th inst., we note that you require all 80 mph instruments to read 5% fast over and above 40. We should like to point out that the only means we have of doing this other than a specially calibrated dial, would be to advance the hand 5% at 60 mph, which would of course, cover the whole range of the dial from zero.
