re 23-EX.
Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}11/E21.5.30

Referring to our discussions yesterday I confirm my conversation to the effect that I am very disturbed by the reports in regard to loss of water and over-heating of the above car on test.

I see the report in to-day again refers to loss of about 2 gallons of water.

I understand that you will very thoroughly investigate this matter, and quite agree that it has to be got right both on 23-EX and on P.2.L.H.chassis, No.24-EX which was unsatisfactory [factory struck through] with you and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} in France, and I am merely writing this memo, to place the matter on record.
