HCM/CM/MMP 26th July, 1935. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr.F.LL.Smith. With reference to the writer's call on you on the 18th instant and our discussion regarding surging on the Solex Governor when bench tests are being taken, our Technical Department will be writing you fully on this subject. With the Governor Carburettor you had, we did experience a slight surging effect after running at full throttle and then releasing the brake but, with the present Governor Carburettor which has a modified throttle, this has been overcome. In any case continuity of this Governor and efficiency on the road are 100%. After you have received our Technical Department's letter, we hope you will allow us to have a Governor Carburettor demonstration on any vehicle you wish, so that in future developments you would be assured of smooth efficient operation which, as you know, will prevent the engine peak being reached or exceeded in the hands of users. The writer will gladly come up at any CUSTOMER'S CARS ARE ONLY DRIVEN BY OUR STAFF AT OWNERS' RISK. | ||
