To HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} Copy to [REDACTED] Handwritten notes: 1044, 600, GRY{Shadwell Grylls} E/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}8/MW.17.12.36. Wraith II Hand Holes in Cross. We send herewith LoC.5425, sheets 1 and 2, showing the complete layout of the wiring in the frame cross and also of the hand holes. The wiring clips in the cross will have to be attached by bolts. With respect to the hand holes these have been modified from those shown on the various individual original schemes, in some cases to give increased clearances, and in most cases to reduce the number of varieties of holes. Wherever possible a round hole of even 1" or 1/2" dimensions has been used as Messrs.Rubery Owen have a set of stock punches for these. Where an elongated hole is used it has been made by punching two circular holes and shearing off the intervening triangular shaped piece of metal. With this information we believe we have completed the instructions for the hand holes in the frame and the cross, and for the pipes and wiring for the chassis, with the exception of the coil pipe in the top triangle lever of the front suspension, the jack pipes on the axle and the centralised chassis lubrication pipes on the power unit.
