-2- In this respect we have very little trouble as per example the late 3½ litre Bentley and the present 25/30.HP. which have grooved intermediate main bearings in whitemetal on steel shells. There are from your drawing several dimensions which you require in regard to the width of the crank journals between the webs and are as follows - Intermediate 1.150 + 5 Centre. 1.650 + 5 Front. 1.575 - 10 We note that you are locking the main bearings by the tabbing system and thus deleting the use of dowels which are our standard practice. With regard to the rocker bushes, the alternative (1) in your attached drawing appears to be the most simple with two separate plain bushes and obviates grooving and drilling of holes as in alternative (2).
