| - 2 - With the piston in the form as obtained by your adjustment, there is no doubt the effective life would be short and we should certainly expect you to experience cold tap. We do feel, however, that with the No.14 form, a full bearing should be obtained, and the major axis contact would be such as to preclude the possibility of cold taps. The pistons originally supplied were ground to the No.10 formation; we are, therefore, grinding the set at present in progress to the No.14 form. These are now approaching completion and unless anything unforeseen occurs, we have every confidence that we shall be able to despatch them to you to-morrow. We have also returned the piston from which we have formed a graph, in case you might care to re-examine this in the light of our remarks, and we should be very happy to have your comments if you have an opportunity to give the matter some consideration. Yours faithfully, pp THE LIGHT PRODUCTION CO. LTD. [Signature] GENERAL MANAGER. Enclos. | ||
