Dear Sir, We have been given your name by Mr. Emtage of the Air Ministry with reference to the possibility of your being able to carry out tests on a new type of aviation sparking plug which we have recently developed. The Air Ministry are carrying out tests on these plugs which up to now have shown that the plugs are likely to be very suitable for aircraft work. Their chief advantages are their light weight, their small size, and the fact that they are non-detachable, easily cleaned, and are much easier to service. It can be seen at a glance whether the plug has burned or oiled up without having to unscrew the plug. We are sending you along under separate cover eight of our standard car plugs of this type, and we shall be very pleased if you could arrange an interview for our representative to discuss with you suitable types for test in your own aircraft engines.
