X3587 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} R7/M29.11.24. re. 20 HP. STARTER PINION. X.4384 X.3592 X.3587 I am not quite sure what is happening to these, because 5-G-2 has a pinion on it which acts beautifully. I believe this is a RR. Bijur but the pinion on 4-G-2 is not passably good. This xxxxxbly is stated in the log book to be a Bendix, but is probably a Bijur, as there is mention of cork faces. If this pinion is a RR. latest type, this scheme is not working consistently as the 4-G-2 starter pinion is distinctly worse than 5-G-2. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
