Em4/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 19th September, 1938 V.C. Young, Esq., Wilcox-Rich Manufacturing Corp., Detroit, MICHIGAN. U.S.A. Dear Mr. Young. We have now incorporated the Wilcox Rich tappet in two designs, one a side valve the other a push rod, and we attach a print showing the size we are proposing to use. We took this size from some of the literature which you sent us. Our concern now is to know whether anyone is manufacturing the Wilcox Rich tappet in England at the present moment, and if not, what the price of these tappets would be if we obtained them from America. We should want two or three experimental sets to start with, and if they were adopted on production it is unlikely that for two or three years the number required would exceed 1,000 sets per year. We have not got a drawing showing the actual detail dimensions of the outside of the tappet, and we should be glad if you could let us have one of these so that we could adjust our dimensions accordingly. Yours sincerely, | ||
