re Mr.Fairey.

He writes me in reply to my letter, copy of which was sent you, that his P.II is going to Derby to-day as they found a little metal in the sump and thought it had better be turned over to us for examination.

He adds that while it is up at W., he things it deserves a thorough overhaul from [struck through: XXXXX] end to end and would be very glad to hear your opinion on this point.

I should be glad to hear the result of your investigation about the brakes and also what you think ought to be done about the overhaul point.
