Dear Sir, Re: your Bentley car No. B. 47-HW. With reference to our letter of the 17th ult. and the trouble you experienced with the engine of your car a few days previously, we have now received a report from our Derby Works of the cause of the failure of one big end bearing. This loss of pressure would have an immediate effect on the oil circulation and the bearings would be starved of oil. Although, of course, the loss of pressure would immediately be visible on the pressure gauge on the instrument board, we propose, in view of the car having been delivered to you so recently, to bear the cost of the necessary repairs ourselves. We hope your car is now running in every way to | ||
