Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}3/OH.24.2.42. Chassis B.22.AW. Unit No.B6BP. Work as follows carried out at Clan Foundry on 17.2.42. 1. Cylinder block removed - mileage 10897. (put in stores) New cylinder block fitted. Bores 1. 3. 5 chrome plated. Cylinder Bore Records taken and filed. 2. Pistons removed ring grooves and pistons thoroughly cleaned and refitted. 3. Valves removed "ground in" refitted with new valve grummitts and circlips. 4. Exhaust manifold faced up. 5. Engine rebuilt with new cylinder head gasket new washers and gaskets all round. 6. Carburettors. EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} needles removed. B.3.D. needles fitted. 7. Passed test and handed over to Lp.{Mr Lappin} at Transport Dept. 18.2.42. Speedometer reading 56111. 8. Brakes adjusted all round. It should be noted that the original chassis B.22.AW. met with an accident and the present chassis was a new one with the name plate and engine unit number plate changed over, therefore this present chassis and engine unit has run a total of 10897 miles and commenced running at speedometer reading 45544 date 16.11.41.
