1021 28th January, 1941. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.S/CT. S.N. McMillan, Esq., 375, Allesley Old Road, C O V E N T R Y. Dear Mr. McMillan, Could you let me have a range of samples of sections which you were making previous to the war, suitable for motor bodies. At the moment we are particularly interested in protective strips for lids of luggage boots, when used as luggage carrier. The section I have in mind is the aluminium section carrying rubber which I think was originally for runningboard strips. Naturally, for the purpose we have in mind, the section would be smaller. I am writing to your old address, hoping it will find you there and that you have survived the blitz. I do not think I have had the pleasure of meeting you since I saw you at Daimler, but I am hoping that you are well and keeping your end up. Yours faithfully, P.S. Will you please mark any samples you may send me "For the attention of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG., Clan Foundry, Belper". | ||
