Messrs. Attwaters Ltd., Hopwood St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Mills, PRESTON For the attention of Mr. F.{Mr Friese} Attwater. Dear Sirs, We understand from our representative Mr. Hardy, who visited your Works recently, that you are likely to be able to make the filler plug shown on attached print for us. We, would like to know whether you can make this plug and also a quotation for supplying same in lots of 200 and 1000. We would like to know the tool cost involved separately. In the event of your being able to supply this plug, we would like to know how long it would be before we could have two or three experimental ones. The material for the plug should be some suitable plastic of reasonable strength capable of resisting the action of water or ethylene glycol 30% mixture (anti-freeze) as well as a small amount of oil or grease. An early reply would be much appreciated. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.6/AP. December 23rd. 1937. 649 | ||
