6116 Cap please arrange. RG.{Mr Rowledge} To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} BY/RD.2/B.23.10.37. VOLT DROPS. In order to assist in the elimination of the dipper shudder, Messrs. Lucas are anxious that we should have all the voltage possible, available at the dipper terminal, not so much for the hold-on current but for the initial operation. They suggest to us that when all the lamp load is on the circuit, the volt drop at the dipper is in the neighbourhood of 2.75 volts. Their figures are based on the dipper taking 17.8 amps at 10 volts. Will you therefore, please arrange to measure this on an actual car, in order to determine whether the allowances made for the various conductors and joints in the circuits are accurate. BY/RD. | ||
