EXPERIMENTAL REPORT.

CAMSHAFT TESTS ON 20 HP.

The modified camshafts were put in hand as a
result of tests carried out on G.1 engine which has two
separate camshafts so that the angle between the camshafts
could be set to any degree.

Curves attached herewith show difference in power
obtained on the Test Bench.

Road tests.

Comparative tests on the road show the improvement
in performance one would expect from the power curves.

Tests taken on our standard test hill proved that
we reduced the time for the climb from 2 mins. to 1 min.
50 secs. - the minimum speed on the hill was increased from
16 m.p.h. to 18 m.p.h.

Tests on the level showed no difference in per-
formance.

We can obtain maximum power with the 110° camshaft
without engine roaring.
