Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Ck.{Mr Clark} Da{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}13/CBl.3.20. X.3461. RE SHOCK ABSORBERS IN BODY MAKERS BRACKETS. X.3507. With reference to Bll/w 27.2.20 Mr. Bailey has replied regarding the drilling of holes for the shock absorbers. With reference to the provision of a luggage grid we have suggested to London and have submitted to Mr. Royce a proposal for a standard bracket to be fixed at the back of existing frames to which a luggage grid could be fastened, but Mr. Royce did not express a very definite opinion, and did not seem to altogether approve of our proposals, and consequently the matter is held in abeyance pending a complete design of luggage carrier, which we are engaged in making. This design is temporarily held up in favour of the motor boat job. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
