The above question has been under consideration for some considerable timebut has not to my mind been settled satisfactorily, the chief trouble being that we cannot guarantee balanced tyres. To overcome the trouble of unbalanced tyres we are now fixing balance weights under the tyre bolts which I do not think is altogether a satisfactory job and is one which should not be adopted as a standard practice. I have been into the matter at some length with Mr Nadin to-day who has agreed to try and get a more satisfactory job made of fixing these balance weights, but at the same time to consider a more satisfactory method of curing these steering wobbles. The points to consider are as Contd. This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
