Dear Sirs,

re:- Radiators, Thermostats, etc.

In reply to your esteemed favour of the 10th instant, we desire to point out that the only radiator block we submitted was fitted to an old radiator from which we removed a defective round tube block.

We therefore suggest that you allow us to supply a special block for testing purposes under equivalent conditions to those in which you may be testing of other makes.

In addition to the extract from the Royal Aircraft Factory Report we sent you which shows our superiority to the 7 m/m round tube, we are prepared to submit our system to the test of the National Physical Laboratory against any other type and propose that a test should be made under the following condition:-

1. That any other type of block tested contemporarily, should be exactly the same thickness as ours and should be constructed lft square, with 1 inch top and bottom tanks and 1 inch outlet pipes. This would give positive data if tests were carried out simultaneously.

With regard to road tests, we are prepared to submit to tests at Brooklands, etc., and would point out that during the period we manufactured Bentley radiators, there was not a single occasion during road and track racing, in which a defect occurred through radiator components we supplied.
