Y4117 x9038 To ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RmL/L.G.1. 5. 29. We are sending you herewith one complete telegage to KS.162.P. This was ordered for chassis 17-EX owing to a failure of the gauge in India. From further information to hand, we find that this car has a special tank and we shall therefore have to get Messrs. Hobson to make up a spaxz special unit so that they can put this tank unit straight on. We have asked BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} to order KS.162.P. for production when customers ask for a distance gauge on the present Phantom cars and therefore you will doubtless have no difficulty in absorbing this unit. In addition to the unit for 17-EX we have received an additional dashboard unit, the origin of which we cannot trace, we are also sending this to you so that you can either hold it in stock or return it to Messrs. Hobson. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
