To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X5005 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/LG23. 8. 28. 12-C-4 - RUBBER ENGINE MOUNTING. X5005 X4179 The rubber blocks specified for this mounting are the same as those for the 40/50. From our previous tests we found that these were incorrect. We have therefore handed to you 4 rubbers which we previously found experimentally to be satisfactory on the original type of rubber engine mounting which we fitted to a Trials car. Will you therefore please fit these in order that we may confirm they are correct. These rubbers are Avon - we shall eventually get similar rubbers moulded by Dunlops.
