BY. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} c. to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4308 ROY {Sir Henry Royce} 6/MG9.6.25. A.T.Speedometers We have been troubled with clicking in A.T.Speedometer Heads when fitted to certain cars, and this matter has been taken up seriously by the A.T.Company. As as result of experiments, they are now submitting a sample Speedometer Head, and write as copy attached. I think this has overcome the trouble, and we shall be safe in advising the A.T.Company to incorporate such fitment in future supplies. Please advise in due course. I understand the A.T.Company have submitted the sample herewith to a Bench Test of approximately 20 miles. ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} ENCLOSURES. Sample Speedometer Head.
