TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DR. } FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} R1/M29.1.25.E Copy to [strikethrough]C.I.[/strikethrough] Copy to [strikethrough]B.J.[/strikethrough] MY 40/50. X2565 Since it is thought that [strikethrough]I[/strikethrough] ought to use a 40/50 as my usual car, I should be very pleased if it could be fitted with a Beatonson all weather head instead of being an ordinary open car. [strikethrough]This is the lightest, fastest, and least expensive that will serve my purpose for weather protection, and appearance. It is also a type which I think will entirely supercede the open touring car. Naturally it is not so smart looking as a permanent closed type, but far better than an ordinary open car, principally because it is usually upholstered in leather.[/strikethrough] Since the Goshawk with Beatonson head has been smartened up to come here it looks quite nice again.
