To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y8320 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M20.5.26. PHANTOM SERVO GEAR -X.8370. Herewith we send N.Scheme 2194. shewing an improved friction head for the servo balancer links. This can be used on any Phantom car, a slight amount of machining being required on the arm of the gearbox and the bridge piece, also requires the boss carrying the suspension link to be slightly shortened. In other respects the pieces are existing. We have shewn one strength of spring giving a load estimated to be that of the rear pull off springs but it may be necessary to try some greater and less strengths of springs.
