X4376 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG. 10th. Mar. 1922. Englebert Tyres Ltd., 45/6 Clipstone Street, Great Portland Street, London W.1. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Muhlenkampf. Please find attached final report on the tyres you kindly supplied us with for test. We have already returned to you (12.8.21) one cover which had burst. If you desire it, we will return to you the other tyres. We have lately given up the use of canvas tyres and for both beaded and straight-sided tyres we are using the cord construction. Our tests have proved that we get a much longer life with the cord tyres. The mileage we have obtained with the "Englebert" has been slightly lower than our average mileage with other makes of tyres using the canvas construction. The tread of the tyre appears to stand up well; it has been the canvas casing in each case which has caused the failure. Yours faithfully, | ||
