Y 32499 Bd.{Mr Berend} C. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY1-P21. 3. 24. PADDONS RADIATOR SHUTTERS. Referring to BJB/H18324, Paddons Shutters have not been fitted at Derby to my knowledge. Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} also reports that he has not fitted any of these Shutters during the overhaul of cars. We know though, that from time to time, customers have insisted on having these fitted, and that quite a number of Shutters have been fitted by Messrs. Paddon's to different cars at customers order. The only set which I have seen at Derby were ordered by a customer, but when we saw them and I considered the whole question, the job was so poor that we turned it down and the car went away without them. Whether they were fitted later by Messrs. Paddon Bros, I do not know. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} | ||
