To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from BJ. Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} X9410 FRONT WHEEL BRAKE SPRINGS. BJ5/H7.8.24. (Dict: 6th/) I wrote to R.{Sir Henry Royce} as attached. During the holidays, Comdr. Briggs called on Mr. Royce informally, and in course of conversation R.{Sir Henry Royce} suggested that the extra vibration at the back of the cabriolet is probably due to the nip of the back springs. He therefore suggested that the only reasonable way of coming to a conclusion, would be to have front brake springs 12% stronger and heavy axle fitted to our demonstration landaulet. The brakes need not necessarily be connected up. How soon could you arrange this, please? Nothing can be definitely settled until this test has been completed. B.J. Encl: BJ9/H1824. | ||
