Telephone: WHITEHALL 2345 (26 lines). 23rd November 1937 W.A. Robotham Esq., Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Mr. Robotham, The car was absolutely splendid - and was the cause of a good deal of leg-pulling by various people whom I encountered during the Run to Brighton. Unfortunately, I had no real opportunity of letting it out, either on the outward or homeward journey, but I found it an absolute delight to handle on the run down, when the traffic was very thick, and exceptional acceleration and braking were essential if one was to cover the journey in anything like reasonable time. I am most obliged to you for your kindness in arranging for me to have the loan of the car, and remain, with all good wishes, Yours sincerely, AWPhillips. | ||
