Dear Sirs,

For some time we have been considering altering the pamphlet in our Instruction Books concerning the care of batteries. We send you herewith a pamphlet which we have prepared which is shorter than the original one, and equally applicable to both types of battery fitted in Rolls-Royce and Bentley cars.

The objects of doing this are, firstly, to remove the difficulty of making sure that the correct pamphlet gets to each of our customers; secondly, so that he shall have correct information if he changes the type of battery subsequent to buying the car. Thirdly, the reason why we have shortened the information is that we do not think the present-day owner is interested in having more than is necessary to keep batteries in good condition.

We should be glad to have your views on the new pamphlet we suggest, together with any suggestions for improving it which you may have.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
