| x254 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.21.6.34. Lead Fuel and Exhaust Valves. We should like you to prepare a set of stellited exhaust valves for the Phantom. These valves should be similar to those you are at present preparing for the 10,000 miles test, to LeC.3860. We anticipate these will be needed because the silent tappet increases the tendency of the valves to burn, and we are also going to run this test on lead fuel. We should also like three of the exhaust valve seats in the Phantom Head E.84568 being prepared for 10,000 miles to be in N.M.C. We understand the seats have not yet been inserted. Will you also please prepare a set of stellited exhaust valves for the Bentley, to EB.1325. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
