S/W. X435 OWB14/GM/5-11-26. 8 CYLINDER PACKARD. Reference your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG29.10.26. I fear it will not be very easy for me to make the arrangements you wish with regard to the above car. I had hoped to be able to do so owing to the Chief Engineer of Packard Co. who is a personal friend of mine, being over in England for the Motor Show, but owing to various circumstances I was unable to see him at that time and so am no longer in any special position to ask them for the loan of a car. Perhaps you would prefer to deal with the matter from Derby in the way you usually arrange these tests, but if this presents any difficulty please let me know and I will do anything I can to help. Is the Lincoln car still of any interest to you, as I now have it in London for 3 or 4 weeks and could arrange for you to have a day with it practically any time, if you give 3 or 4 days notice?
