To Hl. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} 4506 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn{Mr Robinson}2/LG7.5.29. We hand you herewith a R.P. adjustable thermostat. Will you please test its opening characteristics under a head of 5 ft. of water at the different settings supplied. Our own opinion of the device is that it is insufficiently powerful to operate successfully under pressure which might be set up by circulation from the pump. We should be interested to know whether the power of the spring when heated is sufficient to open the valve fully when set at the highest temperature.
